The Pond is the primary setting of all documented events in Pondipedia. It is a freshwater body of indeterminate size, home to several notable residents including Frogbert, Gary, and Derek.
geography
The pond is divided informally into sections. The lily pad region (west/central) is where Frogbert and Gary reside. The reed zone (far side) is where Derek lives and is generally avoided. The east pond is where Sampson lives (lily pad 4B). The deeper water in the centre has not been formally documented as no one who has gone there to document it has come back to file a report.

fauna
The pond supports a diverse ecosystem including frogs, snails, pacman frogs, various fly species, dragonflies, and at least one heron (see: The Heron Problem). A shoe of unknown origin has also been documented, though it is currently inside Derek and no longer considered part of the active ecosystem.
events held at the pond
Frogbert has hosted at least one rave at the pond. The playlist included Darude — Sandstorm. Attendance was moderate. Gary came and stood in a corner.
